Cherry Dump Cake

This dump cake is so ridiculously easy to prepare, it’s almost embarrassing to post it here on my website. However, you mamas have spoken up and these are the recipes you like–quick, cheap, and easy! That’s just my style when it comes to cookin’! So, if you have about two minutes to spare and a crock pot handy, why not “dump” this together for a scrumptious dessert tonight?


1 (20 oz) can cherry pie filling
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter or healthy butter substitute, melted
1 tsp almond extract

Mix the almond extract into the melted butter, and then add that butter/almond mixture to the cake mix so that it’s crumbly. Dump the cherry pie filling into your slow cooker. Dump the butter/almond/cake mix into the slow cooker. Cover and cook for three hours. Dump some into a bowl. Dump some ice cream or whipped cream on top. Then dump yourself into a chair and eat it all up!
