It’s Zone 2: Let’s Get After Those Windows

I was standing at the kitchen window the other day as I usually do, watching the birds feed on the back porch and the sunlight filtering through the trees. But then my vision switched from gazing through the windows to focusing on the windows.

The curtains were dusty and there was dirt and grime in the corners of each window pane. It was pretty, darn nasty. I immediately threw off those curtains and tossed them in the laundry. Then I attacked the dirt by spraying on cleaner and letting it sit for awhile before I scrubbed it. This week I’m planning on getting some high-gloss white paint and touching up the window sill. Now the view isn’t the only thing that is pretty about my windows! Yay!

This week we are working on Zone Two, which is the living areas of your home. But the special project is the windows. This is one time when you will spread your project around the entire house because it’s easier to do all the windows at one time. Now, if you’re new to zoning your home, you can read all about it right HERE.

By the way, if you want a recipe for some great glass cleaner, check this out. I have a spray bottle that is clearly labeled, and I make this recipe up for just pennies a bottle. All you have to do is mix up equal parts of isopropyl alcohol, white vinegar, and water. That’s all there is to it!
