Are You Talking To Yourself?

Words are so powerful!

Matthew 12:37 tells us that “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” The choices you are living with today in a huge part are a result of the words that came out of your mouth in the past.

Wow. That’s heavy.

Watch this video and see what I’m talking about.

Words are powerful tools. Just like a brick can be used to build a house or break a window, your words either build up or tear down as soon as they escape your lips.

I remember once when I was hoping and praying to move to another home, I confessed to a friend, “I can’t imagine packing up that house I live in now.” She quickly responded, “Then don’t worry about it. You never will.”

(That’s the thing about good friends–they hold you accountable.)

Immediately, I realized that my own word were destroying that very thing I was hoping and praying for. I got a lot more careful about the thoughts I was holding and the words that were coming out of my mouth.

Now, a favor–Did this bless you? If so, could you share it? Thanks a bunch!
